TAYGETI MICHALAKEA

Dr. Taygeti Michalakea is a lecturer at the European Law and Governance School in Athens, Greece, where she teaches and researches on various topics of international law, with a focus on international and regional human rights protection, international criminal law, business and human rights, as well as broader issues pertaining to transitional justice. She has conducted extensive socio-legal research in Colombia, Tunisia and Southeast Asia and her work appears in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. She has collaborated with the European University Institute in Florence, the Sant’ Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa (Italy), Javeriana University in Bogota, Essex Law School in the UK, and Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens (Greece). Previously, Taygeti worked as a legal officer for the UN Mission in Kosovo, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, the Greek Ombudsman and in private legal practice.
